I started this at about 06:30. I woke up to find a message from a school in St. Petersburg, asking me to answer some pre-interview questions, to send an image of my passport page, and to send my Skype handle. I was hoping I would get such a message. I wrote my rough draft answer to the first question,
"1) You are taking the first ever class with a group of eight adult
beginners. What are your objectives and methods? Please present a brief outline
lesson plan."
and went out. The tough part of this blog will be to refrain from writing too much. I will want to write everything that is happening.
I first ran down by the lake and did 13 pullups on the climbing structure. Then I ran to the east edge of town and through the casino parking lot. I wonder what goes on out there at 6:30 in the morning. I know they have a hotel, but I wonder if there are people gambling 24 hours a day out there. I guess I need to check it out someday.
From the casino, I ran to the park near Saxton's and then across the road to the Catholic Church, and to Lawler, my street. I have been running a final sprint down Lawler from 14th street and onto my driveway. The first time I sprinted this final leg, 16 April, I did it in 1:09.31. Today was my record.
