          Another broken record—this time by just a bit less than a second, 89 one-hundredths. I am struck again by the enormity of fractions of a second when you are running at full speed. During the sprint, I was consciously thinking about picking up my knees and running on my toes. I probably had near perfect form for a racehorse.

          This was a night, or late evening, run through the park. Whatever it was, the park was dark and it was not overpopulated.  As I began, my thighs were not stressing me too much, but my knees were painful.  Now this is a new soreness, so I wasn’t too worried.  It was just temporary.
