The 5 stair laps today were a bit disappointing.  I climbed up and down three times, always considering whether I would take another stab at a sub-60 seconds escalation of the 16 flights.  The time came and I went ahead with it. 

On my way up, I didn’t slow down and I did not feel like my legs were out of control with tiredness.  But then; TRAGEDY!  When I got to the top and pressed the button that should have stopped the timer, no beep was heard.  Somehow, the display had moved from the stopwatch function to showing the general time.  I DID NOT GET A TIME FOR THIS EFFORT!!!  Oh well, I still have a couple more days in the place.

The trash on the steps has been growing lately, but I was able to run around it.  I think there are people hired to clean the steps, but since I’m not supposed to be living here, I don’t know all the ins and outs of the place.
