            Stairs only again today.  I got the record in the 16-flights, but I ran this effort at the beginning, after warming up with only 6 flights.  So there was a small amount of ‘cheating’ involved.  The temperature is so nice, I think I might cut thought of the details until it gets super warm.

            An interesting fact of life in Moscow, and all of Russia, I think, is that sometimes, you don’t have hot water.  Take this week for example.  None.  When I was here in 1992, we didn’t have hot water for a week.  Then I moved to St. Petersburg—while I was there, we didn’t have hot water for a week.  So I think the centralized hot water system might be beneficial because everyone doesn’t have their tiny little hot water heater.  But…the long distance the water has to travel MUST lose a lot of heat.
