Today I listened to the creeping  pain in my right leg/knee area and I didn’t do any sprints.  I did, however, run toward M. Teresa Square and do some pull-ups.  I also stopped a couple times to do pushups.  Upon my return home, I felt strong enough to sprint up the stairs, and at record pace, too.

This looks like it was on Saturday, but on this Friday night, I worked late to prepare for the weekend.  I would be meeting the boys the next day, so I didn’t want anything hanging over my head.  I planned to go home and sleep, but as I neared the top floor, I noticed that my  bike was not there.  At first, “What?!?  Where?…” I couldn’t think of it.  Then I remembered that I had ridden it to school and it was locked in the parking garage on one of the stair landings.  I could leave it there, run in the morning and then pick it up.  Or…I could run now when there are few people around and sleep to my  heart’s content in the morning.  I chose the second option.
As I began, the legs were feeling tough and I was gingerly covering the totally uneven sidewalk.  It was actually dangerous with my less than solid knees.  I pushed myself up the long sprint, and continued to Mother Teresa Square.  When I retuned, I made the sprint in less than 1 minute, earning the right to quit at that point.  Ooo-Rah!
