broke through the ice

Words 132
What a great day!  The sun was up long before me, which is really nice.  The sidewalks were mostly clear, although I did step through some ice to get my foot wet.
The good part about this event is that it was possible—meaning that the ice is no longer frozen solid. I noticed while sprinting that one person was falling over herself trying to stay out of my way, which was nice.  There were no dogs, or dog leashes, to bother with.
My time for the mid-run was within 1 one-hundredth of a second of a half second faster than my partial goal.  That meant that I didn’t have to run all 16 flights up the stairs.  I raised my legs above the parallel with the ground position all 19 times.
