So I made
the escalator in 45 seconds. An
earth-shattering feat for sure, but probably not possible if I was
carrying something. I was arriving home
for the evening after being away WITHOUT needing to carry a bag.
Such an situation is rare and pleasant. 99% of the time, I need to carry books with me, but this night, I didn’t. Thus, I was able to fly up the escalator. If nothing else, it was a psychological moment of freedom.
