On Thursday, the eighth, I ran the usual route.  I started later than usual.  I broke the record for the 4 flight sprint up the steps to my apartment—though just two days before, I broke 20 seconds for the first time.

On the 9th, I altered by schedule a bit because I had no TOEFL class on that day at 12:00.  I ran in the morning so I wouldn’t have to run on Saturday, and I could have even more time with Maxim.  As I began the run, I could feel a pull in my left hamstring.  I didn’t want to stress the leg, so I didn’t sprint anywhere on this day.  I did, though, complete the push-ups and pull-ups.  My arms are fine.
On the 11th, I had a fine run with a 58.23 time in the downhill sprint.  It’s a great experience, sprinting; I begin to sprint and when I try to run on my toes and pump the arms, I automatically move at the top speed that I’m capable of.  Today, I achieved a decent result, not a record, but easily under my goal of 60 seconds.  (Amazing it how 1.67 seconds becomes easily beating my goal when I’m running at the top of my game)  When I finished, I really struggled to fill my lungs with oxygen.  I’m sure my face showed utter agony.  I considered today what the drivers of the cars only meters away were thinking about my performance—if they noticed at all.  They might be thinking, “Why would this guy want to cause himself such pain?”  Yeah, well, I’m trying to maintain my health.
The coolest thing about the run today was the finish.  This is the third day in a row that I have bettered my time in the four-flight sprint up to my apartment.  Today I finished in .01 seconds quicker.  Yoo-Rah!!

It was Maxim's turn to flip!  He performed well and as you will see in the movie he made, he had a lot of fun flipping and flopping around.
