he's a fruit

I figured that I’d meet many new things in Russia, but I didn’t think I would meet a new type of fruit.  My flat mate brought this thing home and I said, “What the heck is that?”
It looked and felt like a large grapefruit.  Turns out that it is in the grapefruit family, but it is bigger and not as sour.  In fact, it is sweet and lovely.  The skin is very think, as is the wrapping around each individual piece.  Because this ‘wrapping’ is thinker, the stuff can be peeled off leaving the threaded, pulpy stuff to be enjoyed without interruption.  The pieces aren’t as well-defined as pieces on a grapefruit or orange, but that just makes it more fun to eat.  Orion has probably seen this thing because it is native to SE Asia.  At least one name for it is the Pomelo—that’s it’s name in Russian, anyway.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomelo
