Last night, I enjoyed a meal with a former political prisoner.  He was arrested three times during the late 50’s.  He organized a group that called for the independence of Kosovo from Yugoslavia.
He’s an older man, but he said he sleeps about 4 hours per night.  He gets up at 4 a.m. to write.  He’s published several books of poetry and written screenplays.  His words ‘inspired’ me to get up a bit earlier.  So I got going before 7—not nearly 4 a.m.

The sprint down the median was successfully quicker than 60 seconds, even though it was one-one hundredth of a second SLOWER than the effort when I had a ‘brush-by’ with a pedestrian.  I had no such impediment during my sprint today.  I think I may not have been running on my toes—this might be the reason for my poor result.
