Structural knee impropriety

It’s been three days since the last run.  I’m off my regular schedule because I’m not living at my apartment, AND I’m teaching extra classes because of a teacher shortage.  I’m not at all sad about this by the way—I’m having a good time.

So I went out today, eager for a trip down memory lane; I planned to run through the park where ran a few years ago.  Unfortunately, 3 minutes into the run, my left knee started to complain.  This pain is not just general soreness, but something more sinister.  It’s the kind of pain that may indicate structural impropriety.  The result is that I stopped running early and walked only to the first pull-up place—something that looks like a door frame located right beside a restaurant.  It's been there for at least 5 years--every since I arrived in Tirana, and the owners and groundskeepers know I do it.  Why it’s there, I don’t know; as far as I know, I am the only person who does pull-ups there.  I grunted through 15.
So…I walked back.  Fortunately, I was able to listen to The Gist with Mike Pesca.  The Gist was fabulous when he started, then it became a bit stale and self-important—all this in only a few months.  Ah, the quality of the podcast may have something to do with my vicissitudes of the mood and state of affairs that I bring to the table.
Today was great.  I actually listened to the tail end of Tuesday's episode.  He talked about Dick Chaney and a fabulous, horrible interview about torture.  It’s worth a listen.
