Quite a disappointment today. I went out for orange juice because I woke up with the beginnings of a sore throat or something.  I trotted to the 24-hour store and dropped the cartons some swings inside the loop.  I ran the same sprint as always—this time running on the toes at the beginning
(I’m not sure if I was doing it the whole way—that’s why I need the muscle memory that I mentioned a couple days ago) and throwing the arms.  I THOUGHT I was running well—at record pace, even.  My legs started to get really heavy, but I’ve felt this before, and at times when I’ve achieved something great.

I ended with a time that was nearly .5 seconds slower than my best.  I’m thinking again that that 1:14.87 time on March 17 may have been a mistake.  BUT, if it WAS a mistake, maybe I wouldn’t be trying so hard to beat it now.  And look how close I’m getting to that time.  So…if I was a mistake, it was a fortunate mistake. It's all in the mind.
