I
began the run up the stairs at something less than full speed. I thought that I might try to save some
energy in the beginning to pour it on at the end. It’s very easy to maintain the same speed
once you start. Therefore, I don’t think
I sped up much. The resulting time was 3
seconds off my fastest, and the three seconds of effort that I
DIDN’T expend running up, let my legs recover faster. I didn’t have to walk back up three flights. My body might be getting weary. The pull-ups are taking a lot of effort, and my mid-run sprint was just barely lower than 1:05—yesterday, it was over 1:07! Starting tomorrow, I have three days of 8:00 lessons in a row—at the bank. So…I probably won’t be running. Yes, it was cold out there today—no standing water, but a lot of frozen puddles.
